Apply now: 13th European Young Artists‘ Jazz Award Burghausen 2022

On the occasion of the 52nd Burghausen International Jazz Festival from March 22 to 27, 2022, the town‘s jazz association, Interessengemeinschaft Jazz Burghausen e.V., in cooperation with the town of Burghausen, invites the submission of entries to the 13th European Young Artists‘ Award Burghausen 2022.

This prize, which is awarded annually, has been created to actively promote pro­mising young jazz artists.  

Target Group

Combos of three or more musicians and big bands based in Europe.
Participants must not be older than 30 years on March 22, 2022 (b. 1992 and after).


All varieties of jazz will be admitted.

Prize Money

1st place: 5.000 Euro
2nd place: 3.000 Euro
3rd place: 1.000 Euro

The winning band (1st place) will also open the first festival‘s concert on the next day performing for a large audience.
